Jasmine J Photography

Almost exactly a year ago I was in Portland with my parents for my dad’s train show ( he’s super into trains). I dm’ed back in forth with a senior photographer named Jasmine J. and ended up doing this shoot which was super fun. I’m grateful that I was able to do a shoot. It was the weekend before my freshman year of high school and I was kinda stressed about that because change is scary. I always seem to look back at this weekend before school started and just life in general. So much new was about to happen and I had no idea about what I was actually freaked out about. Looking back at these photo’s so much has changed, I am different. I know that sounds weird but I was a BABY.

In retrospect, I just had no idea how much my life would change in a year, no one did. It’s just really cool to be able to look back to see how you have grown the past year.

I’m just really grateful that I just did everything I wanted to do. I was talking to some friends on FaceTime and we were talking about our retreats, what we wish we would have done differently or what we should have done. A lot of my friends didn’t talk to someone in class that seemed cool, felt like they were so focused on school and didn’t hang out with their friends outside of school, or didn’t go to any parties. Life in covid has taught me to “just do” it, and have no regrets.
