It was announced that the 2019/2020 school year in Washington is canceled. The state has mandated stay at home orders because of the Coronavirus (convo 19) for the rest of the school year and will be converting to online schooling. All I can think about is the negatives like I can’t see my friends, I miss going to class and all the funny moments in them, and learning online is very confusing and frustrating. But let’s look at the positive for a second. I will see my friends eventually… a small few of them now that live really close to me, There are so many things that are a better use of my time like editing and journal writing. Online classes are going to be hard/ harsh classes and right now for grades have become a pass of fail versus letter grades. So basically its participation at this point. Also, the weather in Seattle is started to change and is pretty warm for Seattle. I mean 65 degrees and tanning is a stretch I know, but let’s be real it’s better than rain when you want to go on a walk. And that is the only way I get to leave my house during the ‘Corona Break’ is to go outside. I know how easy it is to just go to all the negatives. I recently watched a youtube video on the “ law of attraction” and focusing on the negatives will bring more negatives Vs. looking at the world slightly optimistic not just helps your spirits out but the people your around( especially over quarantines when the whole house is walking aimlessly around the house and eating when full ( I know from experience) And yeah that school ended and everyone getting laid off work literally sucks. My family tends to just focus on the being optimistic and being positive is the best way to get thew it.
